Creating the Perfect Charcuterie Board

Whether for one or for several, the charcuterie board is a statement piece and perfect appetizer.

Lamb Salami: 2 -3 ounces per person should be a good amount. For your presentation, consider leaving some of the Lamb Salami whole with a cutting knife beside it. The bright colors of our salami pop when served on an artisan wooden board, a marble or stoneware plate.

Cheese: It’s usually sliced a little thicker, so 3 ounces of cheese per person. Consider soft cheeses like Brie, goat cheese, or fresh ricotta; firm cheeses like Gouda or Gruyere; or hard cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano or Asiago.

Crackers: The more the better. You’ll want at least one cracker (or slice of bread) for every slice of meat! Think baguette, toasted pita, artisan crackers, cheese straws.

Accompaniments: Pickles, spreads, nuts, fruits — should all be plentiful! This is what makes the charcuterie board really fun – this is where you get to experiment with different flavors, textures, and combinations. Serve your accompaniments directly on the board or in small bowls to fill up the negative space and visually enhance the presentation. Go sweet - think jams, honey, fresh berries, or figs. Think savory - fresh vegetables, pesto, pickled onions, or olives.

Serve with your favorite drink!
